Tuxford Primary Academy achieves School Games Mark silver award

We are thrilled to announce that Tuxford Primary Academy has earned the School Games Silver Mark Award for the 2023/24 academic year!

The School Games Mark is a Government-led award scheme launched in 2012, facilitated by the Youth Sport Trust to reward schools for their commitment to the development of competition across their school and into the community, and we are delighted to have been recognised for our success.

This year, we have significantly expanded our out-of-school activities through school games and strengthened our partnerships within the community, notably with Tuxford Academy. Additionally, we have successfully increased our Physical Education (PE) hours, ensuring that 80% of our children now participate in at least two hours of PE each week.

We want to extend our heartfelt thanks to every staff member at Tuxford Primary Academy who has devoted their time and effort to providing these wonderful opportunities for our pupils. Your dedication has made this achievement possible.
