On Wednesday 1st May, Year 3 and 4 pupils dressed in their May day best and provided some magical entertainment for a number of local senior citizens from in and around Tuxford.

Delighting the audience with May day poems, beautiful singing, a majorette performance and traditional Maypole dancing, everyone performed exceptionally well and did themselves and the academy proud.

While enjoying the refreshments on offer pupils and visitors had the opportunity to get together and chat about the differences in their school days. Images of Tuxford Primary’s past May day festivities dating right back to 1905 were on display for all to view.

Thank you to Tuxford Town Council for coordinating the event, it was a huge success and thoroughly enjoyed by all.
