Within each of our class groups, pupils are supported by our exceptional staff team, allowing your child to flourish and grow. All staff are qualified to lead and/or assist with lessons, together with providing appropriate social and emotional support.

We believe it is vital we know each and every one of our pupils’ needs, whatever they may be. This enables us to provide bespoke support at all levels to all learners, including those with complex special needs and those with exceptional talents.

Children with a particular special need will also receive help from the local authority’s support services who the academy works closely with.

Getting support for your child

During a child’s time at Tuxford Primary Academy there may be a number of reasons why they might need some extra support. This could be help with homework, understanding a topic within a lesson, problems with friends or family, or that they’re worried about something inside or outside of the academy.

Safeguarding

If this is a safeguarding concern, please visit our safeguarding page for full information on how to report a concern and access support. All staff are able to provide guidance and ensure concerns are passed to the appropriate member of the safeguarding team.

Complaints

Parents and schools share the same goal – supporting children’s education. Sometimes questions or concerns arise. The parent guide to school complaints gives you clear steps to share your views and resolve issues quickly and positively.
