Last week, to commemorate Holocaust Memorial Day, year 6 pupils read Sokphal Din’s story.

Sokphal lived in Cambodia at the time of the Khmer Rouge, the rebel army who took control of his country. Now Sokphal lives here in the United Kingdom.

Year 6 pupils have written postcards to Sokphal expressing their feelings about his experience and sharing what they felt they had learnt from reading and discussing his incredible story.

In return, the classes hope to receive a postcard back from Sokphal himself.
