In conjunction with 7 Billion Ideas and Retford Lions Charity, all of our Year 5 and 6 pupils took part in #Roar2018.
This involved pupils working in small teams to create a wealth of world changing ideas. Four teams reached our academy finals: a small animal cleaner; an air purifier; a liquid soap and a medicine tester.
We are very proud to announce that MedBot Team, James, Tallulah and Kealey, were voted through to the regional finals where they succeeded in coming in third place with their ‘robot design’ which tests prescribed medicines for their effectiveness against germs.
