As we approach the end of another school year, which once again has been challenging at times due to the pandemic, I would like to thank all school staff for going above and beyond to ensure that the school has been able to remain open throughout.

Thankfully things are starting to get back to normal now. It has been fantastic to see that some students have been able to participate in trips and that year 6 have been able to complete their transition week to prepare them for secondary school. The governing body managed to meet face to face in June for the first time in over two years, and it was great to meet some people for the first time rather than seeing them on a computer screen.

We are looking to recruit new members to the governing body and would welcome enquires from anyone who is interested – you don’t have to be a parent. We play an important role in making sure the school is well run and ensuring good outcomes for all children. There is more information in the governance section of our website.

If you would like to find out a bit more  about the role then please contact the clerk at sbaines@diverse-ac.org.uk.
